Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat
While the grill is heating, divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season each patty with salt and pepper
Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, top each burger patty with 2 slices of mozzarella cheese and allow it to melt
While the burgers are cooking, split the burger buns and lightly toast them on the grill
To assemble the burgers, spread marinara sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun
Place a cheesy burger patty on top of the sauce, followed by a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves
Close the burger with the top half of the bun
