Easy Waffles Recipe

Enjoy delicious homemade waffles anytime with this easy recipe. These waffles freeze well and make for a convenient breakfast or snack option. They're crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract

Mix well

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined

Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions

Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray or a small amount of oil

Pour enough batter onto the waffle iron to cover the waffle grids

Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually about 3-5 minutes, depending on your waffle iron

Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and place them on a wire rack to cool

Once the waffles have cooled completely, you can stack them with wax paper in between to prevent sticking, and place them in an airtight freezer bag

Label the bag with the date and store it in the freezer

To reheat, simply toast the frozen waffles in a toaster or warm them in a preheated oven until they are heated through
